Brazos County Detention Center deemed in compliance with federal rape prevention standards

The Brazos County Detention Center has become one of the first county jails in the state to be deemed in full compliance with federal standards preventing rape in correctional facilities.

It joins Ft. Bend County, which in July met all standards set out by the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) of 2003.
