County pays to settle lawsuit arising from prison sex assault by jail guard

Allegheny County paid $115,000 to settle a lawsuit by a former inmate, county spokeswoman Amie Downs said Wednesday.

The inmate said in the lawsuit she was sexually assaulted by an Allegheny County Jail guard and then beaten by other guards when she testified against him.
