Reimagining PREA Risk Assessments

Join the PREA Resource Center to hear from the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections on how they used their federal PREA demonstration grant to revise and attempt to validate their PREA risk assessment. This presentation reviews the detailed data analysis that the project completed so agency researchers are encouraged to view and share. Presenters also shared lessons learned, including from the pilot assessments where it was determined that there was a mismatch between the questions asked and people’s responses. This is a technical presentation, but one that gives agencies a head start on strengthening their PREA risk assessments.
