$4.4 million jail safety fixes OK’d by Dane County Board

A $4.4 million plan to fix safety and fire hazards at Dane County’s oldest jail was OK’d by the Dane County Board last week.

County officials said it will be a temporary fix until consultants come up with options to remodel the newer Public Safety Building Jail and move City-County Building jail inmates to that location.
