Commissioners Should Approve $20M In Jail Renovation Costs Thursday

Portage County Commissioners will likely vote Thursday on approving roughly $20 million in construction costs for a new jail pod and extensive renovations to the current facility.

On Tuesday, the board met with Jason Woerhrle from Granger Construction, the project manager at risk, as well as Garry McAnally of architecture firm Wachtel & McAnally, who has been designing the structure.
