Better still for our convicted youth

Colorado’s most at-risk kids, those being held for convictions or charges of serious crimes in state-run juvenile detention facilities, are getting some much needed attention.

These kids, between the ages of 10 and 21, will all someday be released from state custody. It’s important for society that the roughly 330 kids currently held in state facilities become productive citizens who don’t get caught in the revolving door of incarceration.
