Booking process has evolved in Ottawa County along with technology

Up until three years ago, the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office was still filling out pages and pages of forms when booking an inmate.

It sounds simple enough, booking someone; throw the cuffs on them, take them to the jail and toss them in a cell.

However, there is far more to the booking process than that. It was a ton of paperwork. But that was then, and technology is now.
