Dane County committee asks consultants to develop new plans for jail

Dane County will not move forward with plans to remodel the portion of the jail located inside the City-County Building, following advice from a consultant's report released May 13.

The county’s Public Protection and Judiciary Committee unanimously voted Tuesday to direct the same consultants to develop at least two options for remodeling the Public Safety Building that will include plans for appropriate facilities addressing mental health issues.
