Dane County finance committee to take up revised jail reform resolution

Dane County's Personnel and Finance Committee is slated to take up a new version of a jail reform resolution Monday evening, about a month after originally planned.

The resolution aims to address mental health needs and racial disparities in the Dane County Jail, involving a series of community work groups that will provide recommendations by the end of August. The amended version now proposed by Personnel and Finance Chair Jeff Pertl aims to further clarify the County Board’s intentions and how it plans to move forward.
