Defense attorney files second attempt to move Sam Vonachen back to juvenile detention

The director of Reno County Youth Services says Sam Vonachen is too dangerous for juvenile detention and needs to stay in adult jail.

“If Sam would harm a youth residing in the facility, I believe that Reno County could possibly be held liable for housing a person that has been certified to stand trial as an adult ... with juvenile offenders and children in need of care,” wrote Bill Hermes in a letter to the district court.
