PREA Auditor Training Informational Webinar

The application for the 2020 PREA Auditor Training will open in mid-October and will remain open for two months. The training will be held in late July of 2020 (pending availability of resources and DOJ conference approval). Please note this is the only auditor training scheduled for 2020. An announcement will go out on the day that the application opens.

Join the PREA Resource Center (PRC) and the Victim Rights Law Center for a webinar on providing confidential services to sexual assault survivors in confinement. After holding two national focus groups to learn from community-based victim service providers about the successes and challenges in their work, they share their findings on how to support survivors "in as confidential a manner as possible."

Implementing the PREA Standards, Protecting Inmates, and Safeguarding Communities FY 2019 Competitive Grant Announcement: Informational Webinar

The U.S. Department of Justice has announced the fiscal year 2019 site-based grant program, entitled Implementing the PREA Standards, Protecting Inmates, and Safeguarding Communities. The purpose of this program is to assist confinement facilities and the agencies that oversee them in implementing prevention, identification, and response mechanisms that reduce the incidence of sexual abuse in these facilities, and to promote compliance with the PREA standards. 

Applications are due by May 22, 2019.
