Sara is currently the Treatment Programs Manager at Merrimac Juvenile Detention Center and has been with the facility since 2005. She holds a Masters of Divinity and a Doctorate in General Psychology. Sara manages multiple programs at MJDC, is a member of the Greater Williamsburg Trauma Informed Care Network, and served as the President of the Virginia Detention Association of Post-Dispositional Programs for several years and maintains membership with that organization.
Denisha is currently an Assistant Commissioner for the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (NYS DOCCS); she also holds her NYS Clinical Licensure in Social Work. Denisha has worked within the Criminal Justice System with Adolescent and Adult populations for over 20 years. During her career, she has served several roles within the Mental Health, Administrative and Quality Improvement areas. Additionally, she is an active member of the American Correctional Association (ACA), Corrections and Youth Services Association (CAYSA), Physicians for Human Rights (PHR), and is Internationally Certified in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM). Denisha obtained her Graduate Degree in Social Work from Fordham University.
